Action. Adventure. Archery. These three A’s perfectly summarize Patricia Gonsalves’ life. Born on the Caribbean island of Barbados, Patricia spent her formative years travelling and living on boats. It was during this time that she developed her love of the art of archery, all thanks to a green-clad archer and his merry men. With literary heroes like Robin Hood, Ivanhoe, and the White Company, Patricia pursued her passion for archery throughout her academic career, incorporating the art into all aspects of her education.

Drawing on her love of travel and history, Patricia went on to study archery around the world, meeting and training with expert historians, bowyers, and archers in such locations as Turkey, Italy, and Hungary. With over 30 years of experience and training, Patricia specializes in ancient and traditional archery weapons, tools, and techniques. She now teaches the theories, styles, and techniques of ancient, traditional and historical archery to students at her own archery school, Lykopis Archery. In addition to passing along her knowledge to the next generation of traditional archers, Patricia also promotes accurate Hollywood portrayals of archers in her role as archery consultant for the popular television series “Arrow”, as well as other shows listed in her IMDB profile.

Bruno lagunes

Archery Instructor

Bruno combines his passion for archery with his academic focus on kinesiology, aiming to bridge the two fields. His role at Lykopis Archery as an instructor assistant allows him to mentor others while refining his own skills. Training for the 2024 Conquest Cup in Istanbul reflects his commitment to competing at a high level in traditional archery.

Beyond his personal achievements, Bruno’s ultimate goal is to support athletes in reaching their full potential, blending his knowledge of movement science with his experience as an archer. Whether as a coach or kinesiologist, he envisions helping others build long, successful careers in their respective sports, driven by the same dedication that fuels his own journey.

Retail Manager and Archery Instructor

After a lifetime of studying different martial arts from varying cultures, Chris is currently exploring his passion for historical and modern tactics and equipment. Historical Fencing and Archery are part of his recent disciplines. Focus and intent have been paramount to manifesting the knowledge and reality he pursues. There are multiple lifetimes of knowledge, skill, and history to be understood in this journey and he is grateful for the people that share, and promote, these. Honesty, truth, transparency, self-discovery, and self-improvement are foundational values that guide him on his journey to self-mastery.
